OJK Holds Training on Indonesia Sustainable Finance Taxonomy (TKBI) Batch 2
The Financial Services Authority (OJK), in collaboration with Prospera and the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI), held the Training on the Indonesia Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance (Taksonomi untuk Keuangan Berkelanjutan Indonesia/TKBI) Batch 2 on 10–11 February 2026 at the Indonesian Banking Development Institute (LPPI) in Jakarta. The training aims to strengthen the financial sector’s understanding and implementation of the TKBI framework.
The initiative forms part of OJK’s broader efforts to advance sustainable finance in Indonesia and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Indonesia’s Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target, and its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
TKBI serves as a classification system for economic activities that support sustainable development in Indonesia by incorporating economic, environmental, and social considerations. The taxonomy provides guidance for the financial services sector to improve capital allocation and financing toward sustainable economic activities.
Developed through a gradual “living document” approach, TKBI Version 3 introduces Technical Screening Criteria (TSC) for three NDC sectors, namely Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (AFF) covering agriculture, plantations, fisheries and marine, social forestry, and forest conservation; the Manufacturing sector; and Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management, and Remediation (WSSWMR). The latest version also includes two enabling sectors, namely Information and Communication and Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities.
Alongside the publication of TKBI Version 3, OJK has also launched the TKBI Syllabus and Learning Modules as standardized references to support education, training, and dissemination of the taxonomy across stakeholders.
Through this training program, OJK expects participants from the banking industry to gain a comprehensive understanding of the TKBI framework and support its implementation in sustainable financing and portfolio management practices.
