Deepening Assessment of Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance Indonesia (TKBI) Implementation

Source  :

OJK continues to support the development of sustainable finance in Indonesia. OJK has published the Taxonomy for Indonesian Sustainable Finance (TKBI) in a series of events at the Annual Meeting of the Financial Services Industry (PTIJK) on February 20, 2024 with the first focus on the energy sector.

TKBI is a classification of economic activities that support sustainable development efforts and goals covering economic, environmental, and social aspects, and is used as a guide to improve capital allocation and sustainable financing to support the achievement of Indonesia's net zero emission (NZE) target in 2060 or earlier.

In order to prepare the pilot project for the implementation of TKBI, especially in the banking sector (as a continuation of the previous pilot project), OJK has held a coaching clinic to invite all commercial banks on 12 to 16 August 2024 in Jakarta. Furthermore, to ensure the understanding of banks, especially those directly involved in the analysis / lending / financing of banks, OJK has re-organized a further Coaching Clinic “Deepening Taxonomy Assessment for Sustainable Finance Indonesia (TKBI)” to 106 Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The material and recording of activities can be accessed through the attached link.
